10 stars The people that run the restaurant are all very nice. The Taj is the best place to get authentic Indian food in Yuba City. The buffet is always a hit. They have a wide variety of items to try and every single one is delicious. Samosas chaat extra yum, butter chicken yum, shahi paneer yum, aloo gobi yum, raasmalai double yum, fish pakora yum, pakora yum, kheer , ladoo & barfi delicious ...everything is made to perfection. Give it a try you won't be disappointed.

We have been here for the buffet and really enjoyed it. We tried so many delicious foods. They also have a case of desserts. The most I've ever seen in any restaurant. The service was good and super friendly. We decided we would come back again. We did tonight and had the naans (butter and garlic) butter curry chicken, tandoori tiki skewers and Shia curry paneer. And veggie biriyani. We did the double samosas. With sodas and a beer. We went to the dessert counter and bought some different things to try. $78 and with tip $95 out the door. The place is clean and has fun lights which made for a nice ambiance. Very pleasant experience and best friendly staff I've ever met. Definitely worth coming back. It's 45 min drive for us.

First time eating here and we are definitely coming back. They have lots of choices to pick from, the food we delicious and very friendly waitress. The building is being remodel but the restaurant is clean and good muWe got the butter chicken, chicken curry, naan and prawn Korma.
Great food and a fantastic buffet 4 lunch. Service was great also, they also have done a lot of remodeling so it look real nice in there .
Been meaning to try here. What a wonderful place. The interior is nice and we were greeted by a wonderful gentleman and seated immediately. We selected the lunch buffet. They are one of the few places still serving a buffet. There is a wonderful variety of fish, goat, chicken and vegetable dishes. There was rice chicken and a rice veggie dish as well as fresh tomatoes and cucumbers and of course the wonderful white sauce. Then at the very end were two sweets that were fabulous. Be sure to save The atmosphere was calm and quiet and all the dishes were wonderful. The buffet is only served until 3:00, so don't be late. Try a late lunch before you go to a movie next door.
